Marketing

This position is responsible for promoting the club and our events/programs.  This position has been responsible for the following areas. No prior experience necessary. We will train you.

a.  Writing/sending out Press Releases.  The WWC runs about 5/6 press releases a year to promote the first meeting of the year, beneficiary for fundraiser, the spring event, final funds donated to beneficiary, and Betsy Sternad Scholarship winner.

b.  Social Media Posting (Facebook / Instagram) - Take photos or arrange to have photos taken at events so we can post as much as possible to help promote the Club activities and events.  Post information about upcoming meeting and events.

c.  Create and execute marketing plan for Annual Fashion Show Fundraiser in April.

d.  Monthly Newsletter - published using Wix website (Wix is easy to use and we will train you - no prior experience on Wix necessary)

e.  Attend board meetings, which are once a month in the evenings.

This position has lots of responsibilities. We are looking to have 1 person, or 2 people as co-chairs, to come onto the board to fill the role.  Or for those members who would like to do a job but not necessarily be part of the board, we are open to a member performing one of these functions and not be a member of the board.  For example, if you would just like to do the monthly newsletter, then you can do just that.

Junior Leadership

This position chairs the Junior Leadership Committee. The JLC is made up of moms and daughters who are school aged, who want to perform community service. The girls decide what they would like to do, and the moms supervise. The JLC Chair initiates the planning process, keeps it on track, and reports back to the board. Previous examples are shopping for groceries for a holiday basket to donate to Wilton Social Services, and working with the Wilton Library to do a presentation celebrating women in Wilton's history.
